Inspired by the poetry and solid Oriental philosophy, Oku is the new dining table by MY home collection, resulting from the partnership between the dynamic Tuscan brand and the young designer, Federica Biasi. It is an object that speaks of faraway lands, those of the Rising Sun, where the word Oku means 'oak', to express the force and solidity of the century-old tree and ancient Japanese culture. The choice of name immediately becomes evident, as one stands before Oku, to ‘interact’ with a generously-proportioned object with a reassuring and sophisticated design. Indeed, Oku is distinguished by a large oval matt lacquered MDF table top that rests atop a robust pedestal with a steel base and metal profiles that vary from copper, to bronze and even gold, creating unique and refined combinations.
